Kilkea Stone Yard is owned and operated by Seamus Connolly, a highly skilled stone mason whose passion for solid, elegant stonework has been refined over more than 15 years in the trade.
Seamus’s career is built on learning the traditional methods of stone masonry and applying them with care and attention to detail—whether it’s laying granite sills, shaping limestone lintels, designing stone entrances or constructing patios and paths.

One of our landmark achievements is the work carried out at Kilkea Castle and its associated buildings.
Seamus was chosen to supply and install terraces and paved areas around the castle and its banqueting rooms, connecting new paving seamlessly with historic steps.
These commissions demanded the highest standards of craftsmanship, durability, and aesthetic finish — qualities that continue to define everything we do at Kilkea Stone Yard.

We are fully insured, C2 registered, and staffed by artisans trained in authentic stone work.
Our services cover everything from supply of natural stone materials—granite and limestone, to the installation of walls, entrances, sills, capping, landscaping and paving.
We serve domestic and commercial clients across Kildare, Carlow, Laois, Offaly and beyond.
